Doctrinal Statement

The Bible

God’s inerrant, inspired and infallible Word, is the supreme standard and final authority for all conduct, faith and doctrine. 2 Tim. 3:16

The Father

One God (Deut. 6:4) eternally existent as God the Father (Deut. 33:27; Rom. 1:20)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ as our substitute, died for our sins and through His redeeming work satisfied the perfect, holy, infinite, and righteous Character of God.

Man

Man was created in the image of God, but by willful transgression became sinful and is justly under the condemnation and the wrath of Almighty God. Gen. 1:27 and 3:6; Rom. 5:18.

Salvation

Only salvation from this guilt and condemnation can be through faith in the righteousness and atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:24-25), and salvation is the free gift of God’s love and grace (Eph. 2:8).  Faith involves genuine repentance and conversion; repentance being defined as a turning from that which is wrong and conversion as a turning toward Jesus by allowing Him to indwell as Lord (Rom. 10:9).

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit and His ministry of revealing Christ to us (John 16:13-14), convicting us of sin (John 16:8), regenerating repentant sinners (John 3:5), and by His presence and power, sanctifying the lives of the redeemed (I Thess. 2:13). We further believe that those united with Christ through His death and resurrection are no longer slaves to sin (Rom. 6:13-14). Being set free, we are empowered by the Spirit to live a new life of righteousness (Gal. 5:1, 22-25).

The Church

We believe that the Church is a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the head and of which all regenerated people are members (Col. 1:18; I Cor. 12:13-14). We believe that a visible church is a company of baptized believers associated for worship, work, and fellowship. All believers are ministers of the gospel of grace (I Pet. 2:5,9), and as such we are commanded to reach a lost world for Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8; Matt. 28:19-20).

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted the ordinances of baptism (Matt. 28:18-20) and the Lord’s Supper (I Cor. 11:23-26). Baptism by immersion is to be administered only upon profession of faith in Christ, thereby declaring our faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior. The Lord’s Supper is only for believers, is to be preceded by careful self-examination, and is in remembrance of the Lord’s death until He comes

God: The Trinity

We believe in the Triune God-Who is eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

End Times

We believe the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection and the final judgement of the just and unjust.  The just to be blessed with the Lord forever, and the unjust to be eternally separated from God in conscious punishment.
